Our Story

Beth J. Bates

How did we get here, you ask?

In 1995 Beth J. Bates started developing small brochure sites for family and friends and realized that she had a real passion for technology. In 1998 she founded Web Strategies and solidified an exciting career in web development and digital marketing. In the early years, Beth developed small websites, but quickly moved into managing large, custom software development projects. From 2001 to 2006 she consulted with USA TODAY, where she supported the Education and Circulation departments with projects ranging from new websites to application development. During her time at USA TODAY she was a three-time Jewell award winner for business innovation. Beth also has twelve years experience working with associations and nonprofits.

With social media marketing technology at its height, she is now focusing Web Strategies on websites and digital marketing as part of a complete marketing plan and what that means to the small-medium size business owner.

In 2010, Beth opened the Web Strategies office in Winchester, VA, and hasn’t looked back.
